What did you do today?

1.  Today, I played the winter memory game.  (Andrea)
2.  Today, I drew a gingerbread man on the whiteboard.  I got the idea from the story from the story Mrs. Carroll read The Gingerbread Man.  (Louis)
3.  Today, I drew a picture of my mommy, my daddy and my brother.  (Laura)
4.  Today, I worked on two puppet shows.  Mrs. Carroll helped us practise (rehearse) our show.  When we were ready to perform, I wrote down the show's title on the puppet theater.  (Sophie)
5.  Today, I wrote on an easel.  I wrote "Happy New Year!"  (Andrew)

1.  Today, my mommy came for Christmas Craft Day.  We went to every centre.  My favourite centre was preparing the reindeer food.  (Lucia)

2.  Today, I went to the library.  There, I made a candy cane with a pipe cleaner and beads.  My mom helped me.  (Andrea)

3.  Today, I went to the building centre.  I built an arrow so everybody knows where to go without bumping into anybody.  (Veeran)

5.  Today, I went to the Art Centre.  I coloured Baby Jesus and a reindeer.  (Gia)

1.  Today, I went to the Writing Centre.  I wrote what I want for Christmas:  "Cher Père Noël, je veux ... and I cut and glued picture of what I want.  (Seanna)

5.  Today, we Mme Carroll read us a book called Pat le Chat dépanne le Père Noël.  Before we read it, we looked at the illustration on the cover page and read the title to predict what the story will be about. (Sophie)

What did you do today?

1.  Today, I made a Christmas tree at the Art Centre.  I made my tree with construction paper strips.  (Taha)
2.  Today, I made a candy cane.  The white stripes had French word wall words on them.  "C'est", "et", and "j'ai" are three of the words that were on my candy cane.  (Lucia)
3.  Today, I went to the Writing Centre and I did a Christmas stocking with French word wall words on it.
4.  Today, I went to the Science Centre.  I made Christmas trees with pipe cleaners.  My first tree was flat.  Mme Carroll gave me a special job.  It was to think of how I could make my Christmas tree stand by itself.  I tried.  I will try again tomorrow.  Lucia suggested I make a base.  (Erin)
5.  Today, at the light table, I made a Christmas lights pattern.  It was red, green, and repeat.  It was an AB pattern.  (Jamie).  I made a pattern too.  I also made an AB pattern.  My teacher gave me a challenge.  I had to make another pattern with only the two colours.  I made an AABB pattern.  (Sophie)
